Janette Hall is a Director in the Asian Development Bank’s Private Sector Operations Department, where she leads ADB’s private equity funds business. She joined ADB in January 2011.
Ms. Hall has been instrumental in building ADB’s equity program, including developing the Bank’s broader equity strategy and, more specifically, its private equity funds strategy. She has grown the private equity funds portfolio to $2 billion across more than 55 funds in Asia. She also led the establishment of new investment platforms and vehicles in partnership with governments and institutional investors totaling over $4 billion.
Prior to joining ADB, Ms. Hall was a senior banker in the Investment Banking Group at Bank of America in San Francisco and in the Corporate Finance Group at KPMG in New York. Her work focused on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and both debt and equity capital raisings. She began her career in audit with Ernst & Young LLP in the United States and is a former Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of California.
Ms. Hall holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley (Haas School of Business), and an MBA from the University of Chicago (Booth School of Business).
