At 23, Ankiti co-founded Zilingo in 2015 with the vision of bridging the technology gap within the fashion and lifestyle supply chain to help small merchants and traders truly poise themselves for digitization.
Under her leadership, Zilingo has raised US$308 million from investors including Temasek, EDBI, Sequoia Capital, Sofina and notable angels such as Tim Draper and Kunal Shah. With offices in 8 countries and over 500 employees, through Zilingo, Ankiti sets out to level the playing field in the global supply chain and empower businesses with tools and software which allow them to scale their business efficiently.
Ankiti has been featured on the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30, Global Fortune 40 Under 40 and Global Bloomberg 50 lists in the last 2 years. Recently, she made it to the Singapore 100 Women in Tech List in the company of some esteemed women achievers. In her position, Ankiti also acts as a mentor on Surge, an initiative by Sequoia Capital designed to supercharge early-stage startups.
Ankiti has been a headline speaker at industry-leading events and webinars, sharing her insights and expertise at the World Economic Forum Virtual Briefing, Milken Institute Asia Summit, World Economic Forum India Economic Summit, Fortune MPW Next Gen Summit, Harvard Business School Asia Business Conference, Forbes Asia Next Frontiers Webinar, and accelerateHER Asia.
At Zilingo, Ankiti launched SheWorkz, an initiative to finance and skill/re-skill women factory workers and empower them to be financially independent by letting them work at their own time and space from their homes. SheWorkz has been launched in Indonesia and Thailand.
In more recent times, Ankiti swiftly responded to the widespread shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic by repurposing and expanding Zilingo’s network of buyers and sellers to procure and supply PPE to hospitals and governments worldwide. Adapting to changing consumer demands during mass lockdowns across countries, Ankiti spearheaded the company to expand its B2B offerings to multi-categories in health, household and other essential items, on its business solutions platform, Zilingo Trade.
