Anup Kumar Agarwal currently leads fintech investments for IFC in South Asia across payments, lending, insurtech, wealthtech, etc sub-verticals. In the past, he has led several equity and debt investment transactions for IFC in South Asia, East Asia and Africa across the financial services space, including banks, NBFCs, microfinance, housing finance, broking, PE/VC fund, etc. He has successfully managed exits (including through IPOs) and has experienced full investment cycle.

Prior to joining IFC, Anup worked as Group Head Credit and Deputy General Manager in ICICI Bank and as Assistant General Manager with ICRA Limited.

Anup is a Chartered Accountant (Rank Holder), additionally qualified as a CFA (ICFAI), ICWA, and CS with over 25+ years of experience in equity investing, lending, portfolio management, credit rating, and consulting.
